PREFACE TO THE TRILOGY

The Convergence of Souls — A Journey Written in Light, Geometry, and Echo

This trilogy traces the arc of a connection that began before language, before understanding, before either soul could name what was unfolding. It is a chronicle of recognition — the kind that arrives like a supernova, reshaping everything in its wake — and of the echoes that linger long after the first light fades.

Each piece in this series captures a different phase of that unfolding:

Supernova Before the Ashes in Your Eyes —the ignition point, the moment of recognition, the first geometry revealed.

Ashes Behind Your Eyes —the aftermath, the ache, the pursuit of a presence felt but never fully held.

Convergence of Souls —the vow remembered, the understanding that rises from the echoes, the moment the story knows itself.

Threaded through all three works is the sacred geometry she once offered — a quiet, precise gesture that became the first line of a map I would spend years learning to read. Her insight was not an observation; it was a transmission. A vector. A vow. A truth sensed long before it was understood.

The trilogy moves through supernova and shadow, through ashes and afterglow, through the indistinct and the barely‑perceived — guided always by the Taoist principle that essence persists even when form dissolves. Presence flickers. Signals fade. Yet something unmistakable remains.

Though grounded in real moments, real words, and real geometry, the trilogy expands those truths into mythic form using artistic license and imagination to weave a narrative— allowing fact to become symbol, and symbol to become a language large enough to hold what could not be spoken at the time.

This is the story of that convergence. This is the lineage of the vow. This is the trilogy.

Abstraction and Transfiguration Honoring Sacred Geometry Echoing through Space and Time

— Echoes of Her Supernova Before the Ashes in Your Eyes

The song Supernova Before the Ashes in Your Eyes is a chronicle of the moment before the fall into mystery — the instant when recognition ignites and everything that follows becomes inevitable. As a prequel to Ashes Behind Your Eyes, it captures the first flash of contact, the cosmic ignition point where two trajectories collide and the universe briefly reveals its hidden architecture.

This  image honors the one who saw my shape before I had the language to describe it.

Her words were coordinates — a sacred geometry of inspiration and care, thoughtfully and quietly bestowed after the supernova's first light.

She traced the invisible angles between who I was and the version of myself she quietly believed in.

She was — and remains — my supernova: the event that revealed the sacred alchemy between our souls, even when all I could offer were rough outlines of a song I felt but didn’t yet know how to write, and she illuminated the direction I would spend my life learning to follow.

What she offered became the first line of my sacred geometry, a vector that still shapes the way I navigate the world, the universe, and the quiet geometry between them.

Ashes Behind Your Eyes — Mixed Media

Presence Echoed Beyond the Veiled Starlight

A visual elegy for the unseen and the unforgettable. This piece traces the emotional geometry of longing — the search for a presence felt but never fully found. Inspired by the song’s lyrics, it captures the paradox of proximity and disappearance, the ache of recognition that flickers and fades like starlight.

Remnants of that first supernova: The artwork carries the afterglow of the initial meeting — that brilliant, disorienting flash where two trajectories crossed and something ancient stirred. The superimposed geometry expands directly from the original diagram she once gave me, its lines rendered in a deep, living red that preserves the intensity of her first mark. What remains now are fragments of that explosion: silvered dust, faint vectors of recognition, and the quiet gravitational pull that still shapes the seeker’s path.

Supernova and shadow: The cosmic backdrop evokes the blinding beauty of truth disguised, and the ashes that remain behind the eyes — remnants of connection, memory, and mercy, suspended between revelation and loss.

Sacred coordinates: Geometric overlays suggest a map of emotional resonance, a theorem of care drawn from silence, static, and the quiet pull of gravity. These lines echo the coordinates she once named — the shapes she saw before I could ever describe them.

Emotional cadence: Every contour and absence traces the lyrical fall into mystery: the paradox where proximity breeds elusiveness, where presence flickers at the threshold and signals dissolve into static, yet something unmistakable remains.

This reflects the principle articulated in Tao Te Ching, Verse 21 — Lao Tzu’s teaching that the deepest realities are encountered in the indistinct, the evasive, the barely‑perceived; that essence persists even when form cannot be held. Presence flickers. Signals fade. Yet the echo remains.

This is not a portrait. It is a pursuit — a phantom traced in light and silence. An echo of feeling, hidden in the ashes she left behind — the supernova she was, and remains.

THE CONVERGENCE OF SOULS:

A Vow Made Before We Understood

Art Concept and Relation to Song

The artwork for Convergence of Souls, the final song in the trilogy, captures the moment where two figures stand suspended between shadow and radiance, held in a field of stars that seem to pulse with memory. Their forms are illuminated by a soft, golden glow — neither fully revealed nor fully concealed — as if emerging from a realm where presence flickers and essence drifts just beyond the edge of perception.

Around them, symbols of Pisces and Virgo hover like constellations rediscovered, while the subtle energies of the High Priestess and Magician echo through posture, light, and balance.
Every element — the color gradients, the voids, the faint lines, the cosmic dust — is intentional.
Nothing shouts. Everything whispers.

The image is not a portrait.
It is a revelation.

It depicts the moment when two souls recognize the vow that existed long before they understood it — the moment the trilogy has been moving toward from the beginning.

The Descent Into Mystery

The visual language of the artwork mirrors the teaching of Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, Verse 21:
that the deepest realities are encountered in the indistinct, the evasive, the barely‑perceived;
that essence persists even when form cannot be held.

The closer the viewer leans in, the more elusive the truth becomes.
Edges soften.
Light dissolves into shadow.
Meaning hides in the spaces between.

Presence flickers.

Signals fade.

Yet the echo remains.

This is the emotional terrain of Convergence of Souls — a truth felt before it is understood, a vow sensed long before it is spoken.

The Stars as Eternal Witnesses

The stars surrounding the figures are not background decoration.
They are record‑keepers, cosmic archivists of a bond that predates memory.

In Supernova Before the Ashes Behind Your Eyes, the journey began with an overwhelming burst of light — a supernova whose shockwave left echoes across the soul.

In Ashes Behind Your Eyes, we moved through the dim glow that followed — the ache, the distance, the unspoken weight behind the eyes.

But here, in Convergence of Souls, the stars no longer blind or obscure.
They illuminate.

Their light is the softened echo of that original supernova — still resonating, still guiding, still disregarding space, distance, and time.
Echoes like these do not fade.
They rebound eternally, carrying the memory of the vow through every chapter.

Pisces and Virgo — The Two Halves of the Alignment

The astrological symbols woven into the image represent the two energies converging:

Pisces — the dreamer, the mystic, the intuitive soul who feels the world through depth and surrender.

Virgo — the grounded one, the healer, the clarifier, the one who brings intention into form.

Together, they form a polarity — water and earth, intuition and precision, the unseen and the understood.
Their meeting is not a blending but a balancing, a sacred symmetry reflected in the artwork’s composition.

The High Priestess and The Magician — Archetypes of the Vow

Beneath the astrological layer lies the archetypal one:

The High Priestess — guardian of the unseen, keeper of intuition, the embodiment of the silent vow.

The Magician — the manifestor, the one who transforms intention into reality, the embodiment of realization.

These archetypes mirror the emotional arc of the trilogy:

The High Priestess is the vow felt in the dark.

The Magician is the understanding that rises in the light.

In the artwork, their energies converge just as the souls do — mystery meeting clarity, intuition meeting intention, the unseen meeting the understood.

The Convergence

Everything in the trilogy circles back to this moment:

the supernova that began the journey

the ashes that shadowed it

the stars that recorded it

the signs that shaped it

the archetypes that guided it

the echo that never faded

the Taoist truth that essence persists even when form dissolves

In Convergence of Souls, all of these elements resolve into a single truth:

The vow was real.
The bond was ancient.
The convergence was inevitable.

This is the moment the story understands itself.
This is where the souls converge.
This is where the trilogy finds its meaning.
